Individual action in the face of climate collapse
This installation recreates a garage-based laboratory outfitted for an untrained, citizen scientist. The lone actor behind this workshop quietly makes observations while the rest of the world continues pretending everything will be fine. Stop-motion videos cycle through the bank of monitors, serving as documentation of climate change "experiments" they've undertaken in a desperate attempt to halt glacial melt and other effects of global warming. This work expresses an emotional urgency for systemic change while also acknowledging the relative futility of individual impact.
